Bruce Caldwell

Bruce had a HOT ROD MAGAZINE subscription when he was in grade school. An English degree from the University of Washington and his unbounded enthusiasm for all things automotive helped him get a job as a HOT ROD MAGAZINE feature editor. He also worked at CAR CRAFT and was editor of many titles including Chevy High Performance, Mustangs and Fords, The Best of HOT ROD, Chevy Action, Muscle Car Review, Corvette Milestones, Street Rod Quarterly, Mopar Milestones, Muscle Car Milestones, and Mustang Milestones. He has authored several best-selling automotive how-to books plus a children's book and written for numerous national and regional magazines, newspapers and websites. He has driven over 3,000 new cars, trucks and SUVs. He has owned about 200 cars but is down to six. He collects diecast model cars and restores real ones in his well-equipped Seattle area home shop. He still has many of his original Tonka trucks and every issue of HOT ROD since Volume 1 Number 1. Bruce is married with three children and four grandchildren.
